Text - Rev 22:12-16, Heb 9:27
"Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done”
Time is something we are always conscious of. Because we are so conscious of time, we plan our days, make future plans and set goals to catch up with time frames we and society set. On our own we set time frames for ourselves. We decide some things have to be done at some time or it would be too late or too early. Society sets time frames for us. Get married at this age, build a house at this time and we do all we can to accomplish things within these time frames. Its not uncommon to hear someone say “I’m running out of time”.
I guess you might be nodding in agreement. But what happens when we have a ticking clock that we can’t see? A clock on which we cannot see or know how much time we have spent and how much time we have left? This is the reality that we live in but we are still very unaware of the ticking clock.
“Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment” - Heb 9:27
The Invisible clock represents your time here on earth. No one knows how much time he has left nor how much time he has spent.
How do you want to spend the uncertain time you have left? Do you want to be trapped in circles by the prince of darkness the devil? Circles where you are neither hot nor cold SITTING ON THE FENCE IN SELF DECEPTION? Or do you want to spend your time pursuing the fleeting pleasures of life that have little or no satisfaction?
Or do you want to stand firm in all honesty seeking the kingdom of God and expanding it here on earth?
Decide now while your clock is still ticking. Choose Wisely.
I close with what could be regarded Joshua’s greatest speech as leader of Israel
“See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction” - Deuteronomy 30:15.
Chose Life. Choose God. Fight the good fight of faith.
2021 will be over in a few hours. In Just some hours it will be a New Year. A fresh opportunity to make good choices. As the new year approaches, how do you want to spend the uncertain time you have left?
God is ALWAYS faithful and always waiting with arms wide open to receive us. Run to him and walk with him.
I leave you with Jesus is coming back by Jordan Feliz. In a bit, he’ll be back.
