Text - Isaiah 43:19
Forget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new. It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it? There it is! I’m making a road through the desert, rivers in the badlands.
I literally just scribbled this topic and smiled at myself. This topic is cheesy and a phrase Nigerians use carelessly but this is Gods word for us. The Month of September is upon us. We literally have just 4 months till the end of 2021. September is the first of the “Ember” Months which are generally received with mixed emotions. Some are consumed the Ember months are trouble months and its one of those terrible stereotypes but today we will look at them as the Ember months starting with today the first of September.
What is an Ember? An Ember is a small piece of burning or glowing coal or wood in a dying fire.
Now if you play with fire or know how to manipulate fire, you will know that all is needed to start a fire is one piece of coal. From one piece a great furnace can be set ablaze. There is something else as small as an ember that can accomplish great things and move mountains into oceans. And that is FAITH. The bible says as Little as a Mustard Seed.
All God needs from us in these last months is mustard seed faith and we will see his mighty hand and strength and deliverance!
The year might not have gone as you planned. God might not yet have answered the prayer points you poured out to him in January. Your faith might be dried up but all you need is an Ember - a little coal - a mustard seed.
Nigeria has been on a downward spiral this year too and its easy to lose hope but we are not without Hope. God has promised - He is doing a new thing. In your life and in Nigeria. He’s making a way. Just be like Elijah’s servant watching for the cloud.
The rain comes and it will rain victory because our Lord reigns above all.
Let your mustard seed Faith be the ember that births positive stories for you in this last months of the year. This will be a September, October, November and December to Remember! Speak Life!
