Text - Psalm 100:3. Matthew 4:10
A lot of us claim to be Christians but are still very much in the same category as unbelievers. Majority of those who fall in this category do not believe that they are there, as a matter of fact they are some of the most religious people on the surface of the earth. How do you talk sense to someone seemingly full of the spirit but with a tank of bitterness in his/her heart, or perhaps an exco in the church whose soul still gives off envy, or a Christian who makes decisions anyhow without seeking the face of the father first. The funny thing is that most times we do not pay attention to these things because we feel they are little but just like Rome wasn't built in a day, sin doesn't make you fall in one day either.
It could be that at the beginning they started well but some where along the line they let the devil sow seeds of darkness into their hearts thereby polluting the beauty of God in their lives.
Do you know someone who falls in this category or are you even suffering from the same thing, relax - there is hope.
I remember the popular salvation prayer that used to be confessed when I was growing up, the last part of it said something along the lines of Jesus being lord over all. If you’ve watched movies with ancient Kingdom settings where they have lords or probably kings, you would know that the word of the king stands sure and firm and no one dares to go against it.
If we must be totally conformed to the image of christ we must make him lord and not just savior in our lives for only then would we be able to walk in the fear that we are meant to walk in.
Do not get me wrong - we are not all perfect, but rather on a journey to perfection but there is only one person that can help us get there and that is the one who has gone before us. So wouldn't it be easier to just put the reign in his hands.
There's not much to say but I leave you with these words. Make Jesus lord in your life and you'd be surprised the wonders you'd see.
