Text - Philippians 4:8
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

Most decisions we make in life are centered on what we think and have been thinking about. Sometimes it happens in our subconscious but we always end up with a decision that either ruins us or builds us up. These decisions also apply to our Christian life as a whole. Most times decisions are made unknowingly and when we get the results we are also unaware of the repercussions that follow suit.
The Holy Spirit is in our hearts to help us make better decisions that would enhance the glory of God in our lives but most times we ignore him.
Create in me a clean heart O' Lord, and renew a right spirit within me….
The psalmist was very clear of what he wants from God; A clean heart! Also he needed a right spirit just so he can perfect his ways in serving God better.
As Believers today, that should be our daily prayer. Earnestly telling God to give us that Spirit that will give us better thoughts and better ways to serve Christ.
Making sure that our every decisions are enhanced by the Holy Spirit, gives us a better vision of the will of God in our lives.
Idolatry today, has changed from how we know we have always known it. Idolatry comes in various forms today and has manifestations in our day-to-day activities. Some activities pull us away from God. These activities are those things we do that separates us from the love of God and his blessings entirely. Things we do take away our time, attention, energy and also our thoughts from God. Some of these Idols we serve come wholly as sins of the flesh but our spirit is too weak to decipher all of this.
Today, we have no other alternative than to return to God for a right and clean Spirit just so we can make better decisions for the Kingdom and also identify and stay from Idols that separates us from God.
…Cast me not away from their presence O' Lord, take not thy Holy Spirit from me, restore unto me, the joy of my salvation, and renew a right Spirit within me!
