Text - James 1:17
Every good gift and every perfect (free, large, full) gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of all [that gives] light, in [the shining of] Whom there can be no variation [rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [as in an eclipse].
James 1:17 AMPC
I love words. When I listen to music, I pore over more than the sound and its composition, I obsess over the songwriting. Beautifully written songs have drawn me out of deep and dark places.
Earlier this year, I was immersed in so much misery and sadness, then one day at work, I played this song - Everlasting Light by Mosaic MSC. It became an anthem for me. A reminder for me. That God is my Father and He is full of light and good and perfect gifts.
You might have been so lost and broken that you've forgotten how to how to pray or praise. Remember that God is our everlasting light in this dark world. He is not controlled by a grid that can go off indefinitely, He has no source; because He is The Source. He is not powered by any meanie or nasty being who deems others deserving or not, of His wonderful light. His light gives wisdom and understanding, it is comfort and direction too.
Take courage, my dear, in the darkness and sorrow; in the confusion and fear, in the chaos. Remember that even the darkest days are temporary and all of time and space cannot contain the God you serve. He is immensely brilliant & radiant, large beyond compare. And He shines through you. You!
You are not helpless. Even when you cannot feel or see it, He hovers over you. Singing and declaring. My Child, Shine. My Love, Season. Will you heed?
